TRANSIT: ISO Volunteer Correspondents

YOU MAY HAVE SEEN on page 40 of today's issue of Express that we're looking for volunteers who ride public transit to send us interesting observations of their commute on a regular basis for a new feature. So I thought I'd spread the news here. If this is something of interest, read the description below.
Express is looking for volunteers with a knack for words to be our eyes and ears on the Metro, sending short weekly dispatches from their Metro travels. Think you've got what it takes? E-mail three writing samples to inbox@readexpress.com by March 15. Please keep them under 350 words and include "Commuter Dispatches" in your subject line.

Can they be dispatches from the bus? Because they would probably read like this: "Today, the bus was 45 minutes late. It was very dark and cold, and some creepy men in a beat-up Honda tried to kidnap me as I waited. Then the bus came, and it smelled pretty bad."

How about some dispatches about why some commuters *won't* take the metro?
