HIGHER EDUCATION: Ann Arbor v. New Haven

SOMETIMES I WONDER what image reflects worse on one's university community.

a.) An 83-year-old grandmother ingesting beer via a three-story beer bong in Ann Arbor. [The Michigan Daily]
b.) Yale grads (and invited guests) at New York City's Yale Club at a Blazers & Bling party. [Gawker]

I think definitively, I must say the latter reflects worse on one's university community. Hail to the Victors.

Just awful in so many ways. Here's two:

1. For the part of me that likes the unfrosted side of Kellogg's Frosted Mini-Wheats, that's uncomforably close to being like the dude from the Golden State Warriors who got fired for forwarding "Ghetto Prom" to everyone on his contacts list.

2. The most obnoxious professors I had at Michigan were both Yale alums. One was a condescending bitch whose children I fear for, the other one had a fake British accent. He tought environmental studies.

Both of them probably would have found this party droll and just a little bit naughty.

If you'll excuse me, I have to go meet some Michigan alums for a couple stories' worth of beer now.
